Is this big enough to frag yet? If not, how big does it have to be?

I guess it depends on how many frags you’re trying to make, but you could definitely frag that into a number of good pieces.
How big should each frag be? And do I just attach it to any small rock? This is my first time fragging.

Gsp is hardy. You can make your frag as big or small as you like. I personally would cut a piece off to fill a frag plug, or if your going to put it on a piece of rock, I personally wouldn’t go smaller than an inch square or so.
If it’s healthy it should recover and take off before you know it.

What type of rock do I need to put it on? A live rock?

Can I just go outside and grab a small enough rock to attach the frag to or does it have to be live rock?

You can just break up the rock that they are on break it into smaller pieces and glue it wherever you want. I recently broke up a rock with green clove polyps/green star polyps :

mainly use an old chisel and a hammer.

I’m sure with a little more patience and better tools you could remove far more rock than I did.

but yeah you can attach it to plugs or dry rock or live rock, or probably anything that’s reef safe

edit: are you just gonna be placing it around the tank for that sick green star polyp garden??? If that’s the case I would just take out the whole rock Break it up as I’ve described, trying to make small pieces of rubble that the coral is already attached to and then glue that rubble wherever you want it. I usually shoot for a small plug sized piece.

If you can safely keep it in your tank, you can use it. I had a couple of leftover caribsea rock I used for aquascape. I just busted one up into small pieces. I also have some frag plugs.
Are you trying to relocate Gsp to another area in the tank, give it away, sell or trade it? If it’s going to another area in the tank just stick it to where you want it with a dab of super glue. If you have frag plugs you don’t need rock… if you have rock you don’t need frag plugs.
i personally wouldn’t find a rock from outside but only because I’m not sure how that would work out.
