GSP growth

Any one with a good gsp back wall? Mine is growing well, I just want to see other pictures. Also based on my picture will mine ever grow horizontally after it reaches the surface? I also added a different gsp type to my back wall hopefully it looks good in time.

I expect it will grow horizontally sooner than that. I think it's normal for it to grow fastest in direction toward most light but eventually should start spreading all directions that have enough light.

Hopefully. I have 2 ap primes on a 30g so it should be plenty light.

If were to pull the frag plug away that all the growth steamed from and glued it lower, would the new growth die off?

Cut it around the plug to avoid ripping it off and it is fine to move the original plug

Ok I went ahead and did it. You can see in the picture the plug is off to the bottom right. Hopefully it produces the same growth it did in the patch above.

So satisfying. Lush green grass lol. I know it’s considered invasive at times, but if done right one of the best looking corals to me.

My LFS has a red sea reaffer 425 with GSP completely covering the back of the tank...it's pretty awesome....it flows and sways with current. I bought a GSP rock when I first started, but...lol I know it's hard to believe, but it died.


My goal is to get a small frag and glue it to back of tank. So far my LFS only has large rocks of it...I agree.. it can be awesome!

Lol we’ve all probably killed or had so called easy corals die. I had a Ricordea mushroom die on me and still don’t know why lol.

It will grow so much your entire back wall and some will be covered.

Don’t ever try to remove it, it’s in your tank forever now.

I have mine isolated on its own rock. Anytime it tries to encrust off I take the scissors and snip
