I have a nice patch of GSP on a rock that I transplanted from my nano to my new 75 gallon tank to help get the biome going. Now that things are moving along nicely, I am ready to remove the rock from the display as it's not part of my long term plan there but I still really like GSP and wondering if there's any reason I couldn't move it into my refugium and let it go wild there? My sump is oversized for my tank and my fuge is quite large and my chaeto healthy but slow growing as my nutrient levels are staying quite low. Can anyone think of a reason why I couldn't let it go wild in my fuge? The fuge gets a fair bit of quality light as the tank is just approaching 2 months old and the bottom of the fuge is nearly covered in coralline so I assume the GSP would also likely do fine.

I run reddis light on my sump and gsp didn't open. Stayed alive but didn't extend polyps

I went for a more full spectrum light - the Kessil A160WE, as I wanted something more aesthetically appealing. It has a fair amount of blue, maybe not as much as a typical reef light but I suspect it may work.

Should be fine. Dont be surprised (unless you have a good filter from the outlet of the fuge) - to have some GSP pop up in your main tank - but if so it should be easily removed
