Three and a half weeks ago I bought a GSP frag from LFS. Placed it every where in the tank with no polyps extension, all day I was thinking I'm just going to toss it in the trash since the polyps never came out since I got it from the store. I got home and to my surprise I had one polyp. I was stoked cause I was about to toss it. Guess it's true about GPS's, you have to give them time to adjust.

There almost imposible to kill also. HAHA hopefully they bounce back I am sure they will.

I get encrusting gorgonian every once in a while and it takes a week or 2 to open up sometimes, the GSP is usually a lot faster, but have had slower specimens. It depends on alot of things, but usually its because of the light difference from most LFSs, usually theirs are either cheaper or tweaked for color over growth. The LFS also doesnt want the GSP in there system any longer than they have to since it is so spreadable. I always call it green aptasia. lol. But preferences are all different. Some people hate zoas...I dont know how, but what ever, its cool. I don't like the Spice Girls, but they got famous haha. GSP...SPG SPI GI SPIC GIR SPICE GIRLS. they are one in the same, just evolved differently. Like mandarins and Blennies...they once were gobies.

Good luck on ur GSPs, I hope they stay tame to a manageable level, mine won't die at all when I want them to, so you should have good results once they are done settling.

Yes, GSP is very hard to kill. It's almost like goldfish, they sure can take a beating. Well, I'm glad that you got one polyp opened up. Just wait, the next few days, all the other polyps will begin to open up and then you'll wish that they never opened. In my last tank, it took over all my rock work.

I want them to grow on my back glass. But with the light I have right now. There is nothing that will grow fast till I change lights.
