Ok, quick question...
I have a couple patches do GSP that we’re doing really well (almost invasive) but now they are dying off quickly. All other coral (& fish) are doing great. No alge to mention... My parameters are all good... Anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened?

Have your nutrients (nitrate and phosphate) dropped a lot recently? Gsp grows like a weed in high nutrients. When I started to bring my nutrients to a lower level the gsp rock island I had receded very fast.

Yeah, thought that might be playing a role. I had neglected my GFO reactor for a while and recently replaced the media... so maybe.

My GSP is only starting to open again it has been closed for 2 weeks. I had an ammonia spike due to a coral death. Nitrate went to 30 PPm it is down to 25 PPM now. Originally tank was 5 PPM nitrate and GSP was full and fully extended.
