GSP not opening. Help please

Hey guys.. so I’ve had a GSP for about a month now beautiful no issues and all of the sudden it’s closed up I noticed yesterday a few spots were closed and now this morning it’s closed entirely ? Any hints I tested water pH was a little low like 7.95-8.0 so I brought it up a little just now. Wondering if that could be it!! Nothing has been added or removed recently

GSP can and do close up randomly just for whatever reason (sometimes it's to encourage reef inhabitants to clean the coral out). I'd give it a few days (or more) - GSP are hardier than tumbleweed and they rarely remain inactive.

Did your flow change by any chance?

I've had my toadstool and gsp close for a whole month until I figured out that my powerheads needed a cleaning. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but they both opened fully after I cleaned them out.

No nothing in the tank has changed as far as equipment. Flow, Lighting etc….. very confusing

Any large water changes or swings in alkalinity? Some of my more sensitive mushrooms close up for a day or so if I overdo it..

I did a 20 gallon change last week. Had an algae issue due to the hurricane and some higher than desired nitrite levels which have been resolved already. Dosed seachem balance to bring ph up and the GSP was fully opened this morning!!
