GSP can survive a lot. In fact, it is a bruiser in coral battles and will win over many.
Keep it isolated on a rock separate from the rest of your rock work or it can take over in the end.

So after checking my skimmer yesterday during a water change I realized it was clogged up quite a bit so it was pulling the junk out of the water. I fixed it and after only an hour of skimming last night it pulled out a ton of stuff. The cup is half full now. Needless to say I think that was my problem.
