Gsp not opening

I got a GSP about 2 weeks ago. It opened fully in 2 days than closed and never opened up fully again. So it's been over a week that it's been closed. I got micos, acans, Kenya tree and a hammer that are all thriving but for some reason that little guy is unhappy. It's on a big rock island in the front of my tank. It's getting medium flow. It's even still spreading a bit but hanging off the plug. Could that be the reason? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

GSP is finicky. Give it a few days… or weeks. And spreading can make it close up.

I'm a new reefer and even I struggle with "pest" corals like Xenia and GSP. The latter was the first coral I got and it closed up after 2 weeks. A month passed and nothing happened. I thought it died so I bought another one that was a bit more full and it has been doing good since, though it's growing extremely slowly. Same thing for my xenia except I never bothered adding them back.

My candycanes and acans are also not growing. What's doing well you ask? My anemones, my hammerheads and my frogspawn lol. Maybe your tank is too clean? Because I face that issue quite a bit for some reason.

I took our GSP two weeks or so to open up and since it has grown non-stop. It most likely just needs a little time (assuming there isn’t something crazy off with your parameters)

It took mine 2 weeks to open up after a full on peroxide dip to rid the bristle worms. Place in low light like under a rock shelf and moderate flow and they'll open up when they decide to. If they start to look like they're flaking toss them they're basically dead.

Doesn't like being moved or touched and can take some time to adjust to changes in flow. Have you dosed iodine by chance? As others saying, will likely open again
