Hello, I've had my GSP frag for around 2 months and the polyps have about doubled in length and has spread everywhere they could on the frag disc, but they won't spread onto the sand. I've read GSP will have no problem spreading onto the sand. Is there something I can do to encourage it?

It generally won’t spread onto sand, at least it won’t at first. It will send out projections but doesn’t grab on the way it does with rocks.
If want it to spread, move it to the rocks or put more rock around it.

I have it up against my back pane now.

That will work, though you’ll want to be careful if you don’t want your glass to be entirely covered in GSP.
I do want that! I'd put it on my rock but my Xenia is already overtaking that. Xenia is dropping branches all over the place.

@Sharkbait19 means something like this:

1st one is anthelia, second is your average gsp. Softies grow like wildfire, so be sure if you want them roaming about, lol.

Mine spreads fine on sand. Doubles in size every two months

Mine has gone anywhere but the sand

Might buy a little bag of small rocks and put the plug on that. or buy a single piece of rock from somewhere and let it grown on that. Make it an island. In the 6 or so months since this pic...it's taken over that entire rock island...can't really see any of the rock anymore. Mine has not spread on the sand at this point...
