GSP On Back of Tank

I was thinking it might be kind of cool to put some GSP on the back wall of my tank, in hopes that it would cover it. Any thoughts on this?

I have seen it doe before, and personally I like the way it looks.

I had it on the back of my last tank, was pretty cool looking, just make sure you don't have rocks touching the glass where it is growing or it will escape onto your rockwork.

Yea that is a fear of mine, that it would make it to the rock

The stuff grows like no other. So that could be a concern

Somehow it "senses" a nearby rock and will grow out fingers to reach it. I have seen it span 3 inches . That's the reason I chose to not keep it in the new display.

My lfs had a sweet 250g display before they relocated, entire back was covered. It'll add something to your maintenance to keep it trimmed, but man all that movement is awesome.

The problem is, once it covers your back wall, it will keep going. Unless you keep it on an isolated island, well away from rock or corals and keep it trimmed back, it will become a menace.

I'd keep golf ball sized rocks at the base of the wall so when it did grow over them you could pull them and put them in a frag tank or give them away.

Had some cover my back glass. It kept spreading till it started onto the overflow cover. Had to end it when it started covering all the overflow slit openings. It can get out of hand

So it looks awesome but can get out of hand if left unchecked, I think I am willing to work to keep it under control

Been growing it on the back of my 29 Biocube for a year now with no issues every once in a while I have to trim but nothing that is a deal breaker.
