It is a brand new tank. It got done cycling on Wednesday. Salinity is 1.024, ammonia, 0 PPM, Nitrite is 0 PPM and Nitrate is between 0 PPM to 5 PPMMay take a day or 2 for it to acclimate. How old is the tank? And what are your water parameters?
Ok.GSP can take days to open up. Once it does, it grows fast. It will eventually cover everything. If that’s a concern for you, I’d suggest isolating it on a rock. As far as ideal placement in terms of light and flow, it’s not really that critical. It will grow just about anywhere.
I grew attached to it, so I want to make sure I do right by it, lolIt looks great when it thrives but.... it does spread like crazy, smothering other corals. I have been slowly ripping it out of my tank..... for me its more like GHAGSP can take days to open up. Once it does, it grows fast. It will eventually cover everything. Direct answer, any time. Gsp is hardy. Better sooner than later if you want the plug gone because it will grow over it and encapsulate it to the rock and you'll have to pull it up to remove it later.Follow up question. When can I take it off the plug?
Right!? I was those Monti’sThis is sooooo pretty.
