Just traded one of my corals for a hunk of GSP and a few other corals. The GSP is a little bigger than the island I put on it and some of the outer edges of the chunk don’t fit on the island. Should I cut off the extra and discard or will it encrust eventually?

Ignore the snail. Picture may be hard to tell but It’s kinda just umbrella-ing over the island I put it on.

Do you want to keep it just on the island? If so, give it the old "Bowl Haircut" every so often. If not then it will continue to grow down and out until it reaches the next area that it will take over.

Just on that island. I just got a big sheet of it yesterday and it’s too big for that island so I’m unsure if I should cut the excess. I may just give it time and cut it if I want. Stuff never dies so I’m not too worried
