For the last year I have used macro algae and mangroves in my refugium. It seemed like it was a magnet for red slime and Dinos.

Has anyone used soft coral like GSP in their refugium instead of macro algae?

yes, xenia fuges. but why bother IMO. put them in the display they do the same thing. eat nutrients.

you might want to reconsider your fuge. id bet too low a flow. or just way to high no po or organics.

@saltyfilmfolks How long did you use a Xenia refugium? How did you like it?
I havent unless you count the xenia in my fuge. you should google them. seems kinda gross to me. Id rather trim cheto.
I do have xena in one of my displays as well, its pretty fun to watch them shrink and grow depending on the nutrints though.
