My GSP seems to have a spawning event and all my snails have dropped to the bottom and are unresponsive. The rest of my animals seem to be fine.

Do I have to anticipate problems? I don't have an ammonia test and I don't think it would tell me much anyway, but my question is mainly directed to members that also had some kind of coral spawning event. Did you loose animals, had algae blooms or other problems?

I couldn't find anything through the search here but a reefer on the internet lost a lot of animals. Close to a full tank crash.
Thanks in advance

Edit: the eggs were floating mostly on the surface and I already removed the mayority of them.

I've never had an issue with GSP spawns, however it was in a 180. What size tank is yours?
You're on the right track with removing what you could.
I would do a water change and add carbon and maybe even chemiclean.
Set the skimmer to wet skim.
Make sure the tank is well oxygenated too.

I had GSP spawn over half a dozen times in a 12g NanoCube. I literally never did anything in relation to the event other than watch it and be in AWE.

The tank had NO filtration and NO skimmer so there was nothing to watch/change etc.

23g tank. I added zeolite and carbon. Adding chemiclean would be useless while carbon is in use though.

All other snails, like bumblebee and cowry and the other animals in my tank are doing fine. Only the Mexican turbo snails are ticked off. I turned them around because they were on their back, but they are still mostly unresponsive. Something during the spawn event totally messed them up.

Thanks. Good to know. It's only one snail species that seem to be affected.
