I picked up some GSP from a LFS and am dipping it now before putting it in my tank. A TON of critters have come off of it. Some are pods I think, others bristle worms, etc.

Is it even worth putting this in my tank, or do I scrap it and play it safe?

I was pretty certain about this one being a bristle worm. I’m just paranoid about getting something in my tank that I don’t want in there I guess…

I did 10-15 mins of Coral RX and 10-15 of Reef Dip.

Is the GSP on a rock or a frag plug? While I agree that dipping it will likely take care of any pests, if you want to be extra safe, remove as much of the plug or rock as you can and attach the coral to a new base.

If you see anything particularly concerning on it, I’d say get an ID to see if it’s a problem, but generally pods, bristle worms, and other hitchhikers are pretty beneficial.

Yep they were on plugs. I cut most of them off and placed them on a rock in my tank after the sentiment was that I was generally safe.

I think BRS has me over thinking the whole dip and quarantine thing. I just don’t have the money, space, or energy to set up a drag QT tank on top of everything else. So dip and into the tank it goes I guess.
