Are green star polyps toxic? Like can they release toxins in water? Can they sting me? Thanks!

No to stinging, I believe they do participate in chem warfare as well as just growing over competition.

Yeah but there's media you can get to pull things like that out of the water like carbon. Regular water changes will help also.

The main concern is its an extremely fast grower and its bulletproof. Perfect beginner coral but if you get it on your main rockwork you'll never get it off. I have some in my tank on an island by itself. No issues with stony corals poorly reacting to any toxins in the water column.

Just keep it isolated to its own island and it'll be fine. Its a cool coral, just aggressive grower.
