I have had 6 gsp in over 3 years and they never last more than a week. Any ideas why. The last one was doing great then around the 7th day when I got up there were no signs of the green tentacles. It's been two weeks since and all nothing. I really could use some help. Everyone says they are easy and take over but mine always die

Any chance I can buy some of your rock and water? Looking for something to kill gsp. As far as survival, tank parameters and lighting will help figure things out. Using Rodi? Anything else dying?

Yeah same here,I've had 2 gsp and starts off great then dies.on second lot I found sea slugs eating them.and had few threads like this and I ask if seen any slugs and all 3 said yes

They tend to be easy. I would say - that there is something - a chemical, etc in your tank causing a problem. Do you have your parameters? etc? Temp?

Here is latest thread I asked about sea slugs and they ended up saying yeah they had them and thought beneficial cool looking critters, read this and in post 13/ 15 is my reply and video.
Not saying you got them but give your gsp a look over at lights on and mostly lights off to see if any

Good luck

What is a sea slug. I have a few snails. Is that what you mean. I also have a crab and a huge banded coral shrimp

I would say something is eating them as well urchins on the rocks?

Can you post your tank parameters?
I don't know what to tell you right off the bat; I struggled keeping GSP for about 8 months, and then I moved houses and it ignited and took over a massive rock the about 9 inches long within a couple of months.

If it's struggling, maybe move it to the sand bed and see if the polyps start to come out.

I just have a kit that goes by colors it don't give me numbers but my colors are in range

A few anemone mushrooms, toadstool zoanthids, one pulsing zenia
Pics and accurate parameters are needed before any real advice can be given.
