Had a friend over and we had to catch some fish he wanted, which meant pretty much rearranging all my rockwork and coral after we were done. I started cleaning the glass immedaitely and my friend asked what I was doing and made fun of me saying I "missed" a spot. My wife then commented that I'm "meticulous" about my glass cleaning. I do have to agree with her, they just sorta poked fun at me for it lol.

I mean I've spent thousands upon thousands of dollars and put all my time and effort into this tank, yea I'm going to constantly clean the viewing panes I have to look through to see my creation lol.

I clean the inside and outside of the glass sometimes 2-3 days a day. I've got 1 scratch that bugs the crap outta me. Maybe I'm a little OCD.....lol

3 times a day, no. But I try to do it at least once a day. And I do three sides because I like looking into the side of the tank. Sometimes I think the view from the left side is more attractive than the front.

I love these posts, lets me set peoples' ocd off! ;)
I clean a section if I need to take pics! :)

Yea that would drive me insane.

My tank is a custom design and build, this is the view from my desk chair of the display end and the glass is about a week old, cleaning later or tomorrow, I use a camera a lot. ;)
Excuse the cloudy water I have a very active engineer goby!

I have lots of things that eat what grows on the glass so I am not so quick to clean it. I like looking at the trails they leave behind in the morning too.

OCD comes in many forms.
I think there is a high % of reefers that have it.
I'm starting to think to stay successful at reefing, you have to be OCD.

See folks....
This is a result if the Covid times we are in.
Looking at snail tracks through algae on glass.
I like it too Ned. I just didn't want to be the first to say it

a happy medium can be had between letting things eat and looking scummy

And I thought I was bad. I usually do mine 1 or 2 times a week. I just bought my first five snails this week. Let's hope that helps me out a bit.

So I only have a small 16 gal bio cube. My hang on fuge is on the left side. I don’t clean that side but the other two must stay clean or I can’t see my investment

Gotta see all the pretty colors tho! can't see it through a haze of algae!

You can see how bad the glass was during this water change some times I’m like man the tank isn’t looking good. Nope just haven’t cleaned the glass in two weeks.

LOL!!!! A little OCD is fine when it comes to Reef Tanks! I am not OCD in other aspects of my life, just my Reef Tank! I clean my glass once a day without fail. Not 2-3 times a day, but like I could clean all three sides, sit down and notice a smudge and jump back up to wipe if off. My husband makes fun of me all the time! LOL!
