I have over flowed my Ro tanks Many times.. Reading this thread i am going to go check.. The big difference is mine are in the basement next to the Sump ...

I suggest everyone have one of these next to there tanks. One in there stand if you do not have a remote sump and two extra around. Because its water .

my wife: ROOOOOB

Me: I could have sworn I set the timer this time

Float switches and phone timers are a mans best friend. I run mine off a spare socket on the apex with float switch connected to the IO Ports, when the float switch closes, or when the apex timer runs out it turns off the RODI pump then closes this valve.

I have an RO bulk tank (for water storage) Drilled a hole and put a float valve in. This not only saves water (and membranes) - but prevents flooding. Though these can 'fail' - it has not been a problem - and the tank is in a room with a cement floor and a drain 2 feet away.

Now the big tank upstairs on the wood floors - thats a different story. Used to have an RO tube to fill top off the tank (Its Freshwater) - I forgot so many times that that method is no longer in use lol:)

Yeah....so.....once I pulled the carpet and installed the new floors, I get the ole “the walls sure could use a coat of paint”....and I was like “they look fine, we don’t need to do that right now”......... guess who just paid the painter!

I have forgotten on a few occasions but fortunately my rodi storage tank was in the garage. There's a slight grade so they only caused a few puddles inside.

I have a couple of these leak detectors.. cheap easy insurance

I use a water time. Like on a garden hose. So 30 minutes to 120 min max depending on what container I'm filling. Check Amazon for them.
