So I may have done something I shouldnt have lol. So what happened was I had a Emperor Snapper about 2 inches long in my 55 gal knowing he gets to about 3 to 4 feet but hes a baby. Well my clownfish and damsel decided they wanted to team up on him and wouldnt let him leave the top column. Hes always feeding like crazy but always goes back to the top. Well yesterday I noticed he wasn't doing well so I pulled him from my DT and returned him today. While I was at the Lfs I have a habit of impulse buying and with the snapper credit and 10 more dollars I could walk out of the store with a 4 inch pbrown tang knowing he gets about 8 to 10 inches but hey I had a 3 foot snapper in there and what's the difference lol. Well long story short. I get home I acclimated the powder brown and in he goes.. In he went and decided to boss everyone around even though my tank is semi aggressive. My coral beauty tried to check him until a sharp knife flew his way now hes scared .. The powder brown is trying to pick at my foxface spikes like is he dumb? Lol well the only thing against him rn is my falco hawk as he seems to enjoy diving and tagging the pb tang and chasing it a bit.. Such a little fish with a big heart. Lol so does this aggression sound normal? Should it reside? Thank you for taking the time to read

Very nice fish. Do know they can be uninviting to new fish especially tangs and are susceptible to ich and velvet. Assure to provide good water quality and especially diet. This fish is not a flake and pellet fish

I know all aggression in my tank was solved by throwing up a mirror with some tape and everybody would try to fight themselves and after a week or so everything was good.
I fell in love with that snapper. I tried chasing the clowns and damsel..tried to rearrange the rocks and did the mirror trick..and while the mirror worked it worked too well on everyone else and the clowns caught on and looked for the snapper.. Seems with this pb tang the clowns are scared of him tho so that's good lol

Well noted thank you! I have frozen brine and mysis along with frozen algae cubes. I tried nori but my toby puffer likes to shred it up before anyone can get some. Is there a better way I can feed nori?

For food, consider some of these below. I have 20 tangs and they must get proper fats-aminos-vitamins

-Spirulina brine shrimp
- LRS Herbivore diet
- mysis shrimp
- small plankton
- Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
- Hikari Marine cuisine
- Formula 2 flake and frozen
- Hikari veggie marine

Add selcon vitamins to the foods 2-3X per week and on alternating days, garlic extract for stamina and immunity health

Awesome thank you so much for the regime. 2 questions.. first does the selcon vitamins help my other fish as well or mostly for the tang? And how much garlic extract with say like a cube of frozen mysis ? Couple drops? A tsp?

garlic- a drop or two and yes vitamins benefit all the fish

So I did what I always do. Fed the tank heavy and then cut off the lights for the rest of the day.. Well turns out my tang was just Hangry. I fed him heavy and now hes just surfing minding his business. I guess he was starving and everyone looked like shrimp since he's now the biggest in my tank lol. I'm so relieved and looking forward to learning more from my fellow tangers lol.

I've never had aggression.last more than 24hrs. Except a minatus grouper. Lol. Doih on my part.
Never tried a powder brown but have tried several powder blues with no success.
Usually I feed the next day after adding fish.
I also like to go lights out 1st day they are added. Good move.

I've got a snapper in a year he went from 6 inches to 16 you saved yourself trust me. My guy is not far from outgrowing my 450 gal. Powder blues are mean as can be, I like powder browns because they are nice looking too and 1/4 as mean
