Gulf Coast

I must have gotten logged out and I have not been receiving notifications. It looks like I've missed a lot! @Snoopdog what happened to your tank???

@.Haliax. I have two AI Prime 16 HD's. I am running a heavy blue lighting schedule right now which seems to be helping limit the GHA growth, but it is still hanging on in there. I haven't tested my phosphates and nitrates in a while, but I might do so tonight if I have a chance.

Snoop kind of tank did you get from Bill. Do you have any pictures?

Leaked right down the middle of the seam.

Planet Aquarium, no pictures yet. Life has been too busy to break out the camera yet.

Oh, and it is slightly bigger and we are not adding any rock, so this is giving the fish more swimming room. Altogether it will be better in the end, almost have a new custom lid ordered, just getting the measurements accurate.

Lol that’s true. The 3 I got from u are now huge and and have multiple more little sprouts next to it!

I did not lose any coral during the tank bust, just the stuff on the back glass. Since coral moved around, my lighting changed a lot of things are having to adjust and do not look as "natural" as it did before the change. I think maybe 2-3 months and things will be back to status quo.

That’s good, ur tank was gorgeous! Can’t wait to see an update with the new tank

And the reason I said that was one of the most impressive tanks I ever saw was in Rich Gallop's house. It was his own personal tank, which surprised me since some people would not want to take care of a personal tank if they did it for work too. I was just floored at how much it was one live cohesive entity. Back then we all used powerheads, his powerheads at that point were just embedded in the rock, working or not. The powerheads had coral growing on them, likely long dead. Anyway that tank was just wall to wall coral, gorgeous.
Speaking of Rich, he's due for a house call. I'm struggling over here and I live right around corner from him lol

Does he even sell stuff anymore? I thought Rich only did tank maintenance? I know you said before he is dealing out of his house, but I would think he only sells mass amounts these days.
I'm not sure bro, I work where he takes care of our tank and it's how I got started. He does take care of me but not sure on his routine day to day operation.

I know you likely saw my latest catastrophe, yes because of the Red Sea debacle my tank got ich, but I got this. We are not giving up, not by far. Sure, this got even more expensive quickly, had to go into quarantine mode but that is okay. We have too much money, love and energy in this hobby to give up.
