Gulf live rock coral ID

I thought I knew what this was but now I'm not so sure. It's grown really big compared to when I found it 3 months ago. It's at least 3 inches across. I'm fairly certain it's coral, but what. I'm afraid it's going to be deadly to my fish.

Dendro coral. Non phytosynthetic and needs to be fed regularly.

I have a few light bulbs. This doesn't have any kind of stalk or column. It seems more of a calcified base.

Cup coral, I have never found them to be harmful.

That's what I initially thought but, not knowing anything about anything I decided I was wrong Do they get that big and live individually? How concerned do I need to be for my fish?

Mine were big and individual’s. No fishy lives were lost. Can’t guarantee but I didn’t have a problem.

Phyllangia americana

Thank you! Hopefully mine won't eat anything either. You say were big, as in no longer. Do they not do well in home aquariums?

I fed them which seemed to do okay but they didn’t really multiply.

I may be wrong about the scientific name. Hmm there are many types of cup corals
