Gulf Live rock or Salty Bottom?

I'm not familiar with salty bottom but I've ordered from both gulf and KP recently, very happy with both. I agree with Tim that minimizing shipping time is more important than supplier.
I ordered from gulf as well. Plan was some of each to start the tank. Gulf ships with FedEx. Not his fault but FedEx is really bad down here.
Long story short they delivered my live rock a week late in a different box and basically dry.
Dan... I'm guessing owner of gulf was great through it all and I should be receiving his rock tomorrow.

It's not just you. I'm a furniture maker who ships all over the country. I generally use FedEx because they are cheapest and it's always a crap shoot. They've been really bad the last year.

UPS is usually on point for me. I don't know how much more they are but might be worth it.

So I got my gulf live rock today. It's almost like saltybottom's rock comes from a bit deeper than gulf live rock.
For now I used gulf on top to give some shade to the beautiful sponges the came on saltybottom.

Anybody know how much light to give which sponges?
