thank you for this will try some black mollies hope this will be okGuppies can survive in saltwater (if acclimated properly), but given how mean damsels can me I wouldn’t be surprised if it harassed them. Mollies would fare much better due to their larger size.
and are functional grazers as wellMollies, specifically sailfins do really well in reef tanks, they get big, for mollies anyway.
ok so get them not the black mollies thank youMollies, specifically sailfins do really well in reef tanks, they get big, for mollies anyway.
Except mine, I bought two beautiful ones. They eat like pigs, more than my hippo tang eats. And are always the first to bite the hairs on my arm when doing maintenance. But couldn't pay a single worry to any strand of algae.and are functional grazers as well
variety is the spice of life.... moved mine to the hospital/QT tank to keep the cycle alive and they are constant grazers, but not fed as often as in the DT -Except mine, I bought two beautiful ones. ok which of these would you recommend to go in my 60 gal saltwater tank and how many of each silver lyretail molly balloon belly molly dalmatian molly
thank you for all of your help
saltwaternut
ok thank you have 1 yellowtail damsel 1 firefish goby and 2 nemo clownfishIdeally if you can source wild type or sailfish mollies they would fare best. Personally I’d go with the silver lyretail given the options. Balloon mollies are genetically very weak, and I’ve found Dalmatians to also be pretty unhealthy.
As for number, it depends on how many you want and how many other fish there are. As a rule, I’d have 2 females to 1 male, or just 1 male or 1 female.
I would do 3 then (2 female and 1 male).ok thank you have 1 yellowtail damsel 1 firefish goby and 2 nemo clownfish
ok thank u for your help and adviceI would do 3 then (2 female and 1 male).
