Totally newb question but how do you make this stop? My left side won't quit. I've adjusted flow all around but nothing has worked.

I usually run herbie style which is easy to make silent. The googled fixes aren't fixing

What made you decide to switch?

Its just what this tank had. This is annoying the crap out of me though. If its a quick fix ill knock it out if not ill convert the returns to emergency and drop the return over the back

Make sure hole in the top is clear of any salt creep.
Or try making the hole in top a little bigger.

Can you post a picture of your drains going in to your sump?

Its just the 1" eshopps tubing. It goes into a slipxslip union ball valve with a small straight that slips into the bulkhead on an old eshopps rs300.

I can grab a pic in a few days

I didn't check that yesterday. It might have buildup in it

I notice the noise on my 50 gallon tank gets louder over time. It means there is salt build up in the hole on the cap.
I keep a drill bit handy that bores it out, and with a quick rinse in fresh water, everything goes back to normal.
