guyz i need some advice bout ich infection.

After some stupid error of my part my tank got infected by ich. I need some advice about now what to do.
In the tank they are no corals at all but some they is some shrimp , snails and crab in it.
Do i remove the fish and wait for a bit about 2 month then reintroduce fish in it or do i remove the maximum of invertz and then reduce the salinity of the water.

Hello Sahye, sorry to hear that , i had ich in my tank in the past and i used New Life Spectrum Powder Ick-Shield Bath With good results. The only thing is that this product will kill all your algae. Also this product is not good for inverts. In that time i had a yellow tang, 2 clownfish and and some gobies no one of them were bother by the treatment.

Ich is a freshwater disease, your fish could have cryptocaryon irritans, which is the saltwater equivalent. first you need to id it. I'd head over to the disease forum and post a photo.

I've used protoshield it's reef safe so it won't harm corals it's also invert safe, you do have to turn the heater with this product to 80 for it to be affective.

Just realize that you are not fixing your ich problem with this. You are only helping your fish deal with it more effectively and will hide the symptoms. If you introduce a new fish they may not have a built up resistance to ich and they will likely be quickly impacted.
This is a form of ich management and not ich eradication.
