GXPKY'S 250g Double D

May need to find something a bit deeper, assuming theres some out there

Picked up the block and mortar to get the equipment room build underway...Lotta weight on those poor anorexic tires

Room build is underway bout half way done laying the concrete block.

Figured we would reinforce the joists a tad...8x12 ft room for equipment, frag tanks etc.

Better safe than sorry!

Well, since I gotta let the concrete set for a few days I guess I can post up some of my recent equipment acquisitions!

Also picked up a full calcium reactor setup for 300 bucks from a local reefer leaving the hobby, only has 2 months of use on it. Also included a full CO2 tank, regulator, ph probe not pictured.

Going to get the subfloor up tomorrow. Then I have to move my attic ladder or it is going to open inside the equipment room which I'd like to avoid.

Hopefully I can get the walls up Sunday!

Finished out the sills....hopefully it will stop raining tomorrow so I can get the floor joists finished. Floor has a slight drop being that it's a poured garage floor with a drain so I will have to shave the 2x8s at an angle to level it out

Following! Looks like your off to a good start. Definitely have the equipment to create something great! That 150 cube is dope!

Thanks FL, I am truly excited about this build...I have always purchased mature systems from reefer who wanted out of the hobby in the past. This is definitely the more expensive route!

Ya, I've done the same thing in the past aswell until my current system. It's nice to start from scratch so you can set it up the way you like.

I am so going overboard and my wife is actually happy about it...she wanted the reef tank bad...she complained about the 240 but after it was gone she started missing it lol.

That was seriously a strain moving the joists into place by myself but they are up finally!
