Gyre 250s

Looking for some feedback, I purchased two maxspect gyres one lightly used on here and one brand new. They are both equally obnoxiously loud on my tank... has anyone else had this issue?

Yes I run them on my 120g and they get quieter with time as they are wet. I also got them used and could hear them across the basement which is like 30 feet from the tank. Once they ran for a few weeks they got almost silent. The only time I hear them is in pulse mode really just ramping up every half second.

Look into taking them apart and changing the bushings if you got the extra bushings from the seller too

I put mine in a little test with the blades off and this is how they sounded at first


Now I hardly hear them and they are close to the top of the tank too.

What do you guys make of this power cord coloration.... ? It’s not hot to the touch

I have whirl pool effect going hopefully they quiet down I like the flow.

Mine runs super quiet. Almost silent.
