Do any of you have the new Gyre IceCap 1K or know if I could potentially use it in my 10 gallon cube? I know it states that that flow rate is 951 gph, however, I assume it can be reduced via the controller.
I’m hoping that it would work in my 10 gallon reef, but if it is still too strong, what do you guys suggest?
Any other option to the Jebao or Koralia wave maker?
Thanks in advance for your feedback fellow reefers and aquarists!

The gyre is able to be turned down via the controller. The lowest setting is 10% or around 100 gallons per hour. Hope this helps :)

I use mine on a 30 Gallon tank that is long and have it shooting across the width of the tank. On mine the max I run it is at 20-30% depending on the cycle/time of day etc. It is pretty strong and my fish didn't know what to do at first when I put it it.

The unit itself is fantastic, and not hard to program as I have seen others comment and review. I think at 10% it would probably be ok. Worst case it is much more gentle in reverse. If 10% ended being too much for you, you could probably run it 30% in reverse and it would be about the same as 10% forward (flow wise).

I've been super happy with the purchase and I think it would be a good buy, it might look large in a 10 gallon though. Size wise, here is a crappy tank pic for reference so you can see how far it sticks out.

I have one for my NUVO 20 soon to be Nuvo 40 with no more than 50%. For your 10 gal, try removing one side so you can increase it. Running it with both sides on for only 10-20% defeats the purpose of getting a gyre. My 1k came with with the cover plug.
Really great advice! I forgot to mention that you can take a side off of it!

even with 1 side and 10% its gonna be nuts for a 10g cube
I originally had it in my 35cube and it was ALOT of slow and even running one side trying out. in a cube shape they are not the best the way it throws the water. You get alot of flow up top and on bottom and not a ton in the middle and it beats up anything top and bottom. I eventually took it out but now I am using a 40B its a fantastic pump for a tank that size
