Gyre on 1" walls

Curious if anyone has used a gyre pump on 1" walls, and if so which one? Most appear to have 3/4" as the maximum working wall thickness. Thx.

Take a look here; if you are talking Maxspect brand it would seem they have an upgraded magnet for sale.


As long as you have the flow going perpendicular to the wall, even the stock one should hold. I have the big xf280 running hard on 3/4 with only one magnet.
 
I bought my XF350 in 2019 before the magnet upgrade and NO issues with a 1" thick acrylic tank.

I had problems with the MP60s on my 1" acrylic tank though.

Just a side note on the gyre, you do have to clean them monthly to get the most out of them, but once you know what to do, cleaning is pretty quick and easy.
