Hey All,

Just curious on thoughts here, I currently have two Vortech MP40s running opposite each other on my 90 gallon tank. I was wondering if anyone has run similar situation with a gyre on the back wall. Also my tank has roughly a half to a full inch gap between the wall so I was wondering if any Gyre users could speak on if this was enough room for the piece that sits outside the tank.

Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated ?

have a 180 with 3 MP40s split between the two ends WITH and gyre in the top middle position - helps to keep the flow constant in the middle, with irregularities coming from the pulsing 40's - I like it, but may change it up - variety is the spice of life with flow, if water parameters are not...

Well the Gyres mount with a very thin magnet so clearance is not an issue. I have the last generation Maxspect Gyres and the outside magnet mount is between 3/8" and 1/2", I'd imagine the newer generation should not be much thicker.
As for back wall placement, I have two XF230s on a back wall of a 36"x24"x18" tank running randomly between 10% to 40% and it's fine. Your 90g would only be 18" but shouldn't be a problem IMO.

I was looking at them quickly throughout the day while I was working. Do they need separate wave engines to be adjustable or do they have app functionality like my Vortechs do?

This is the one I am looking at but other options seem to come with controllers.

I don't know much about the IceCap, I have the Maxspect Gyres but I would think that they are all similar since Maxspect is probably the manufacturer and license the Gyres to all these other companies.
