I have a 6ft, 150 gallon tank. Have not been happy with my Hydor pumps on the back glass so I bought 2 Icecap 3k.

I have 2 MP40s and 2 Icecaps and looking for guidance on where to place the 4 power heads. Anyone else out there that has combined both pumps for their display?

I would place the icecaps on the upper side of the ends of the tank. Place them so one turns on when the other turns off. Use the hydors to target any dead zones. It sounds like you have plenty of flow in the wavemakers you’ve brought up. The one thing I’ve experienced is that if you’ve got to much flow pushing the opposite direction of your overflows it’s been my experience that it almost diverts water from going down your overflow. Clearly not a desirable outcome. Have fun with all those flow makers you have. Clearly the best placement for the gear is where your corals are the happiest!
