just got a icecap 4k gyre to replace an mp10. I had 2 mp10s facing eachother and one propeller broke, and there are no replacement wet sides available. So I got a gyre to put on one side of the tank at the top and have the remaining mp10 across from it but lower on the glass. Does anyone run something similar?

Will having the powerhead on the opposite side of the gyre defeat the purpose?

Any input is welcome...thanks

In my 100g I run two gyres on opposite schedules at the top of the tank (right and left). Two MP10s running opposite of the active gyre lower in the tank to remove dead flow spots.

Okay thanks. Im glad I'm not the only person to think that that was a good idea at least. I was gonna run the gyre on random and the mp10 on reef crest. Do you do something similar?

Have the MP10s are set to lagoon, 5 dots max on the controller. Gyre is set to a randomized ramp up and down schedule highest flow 80%, lowest flow is 10%.
