Is the gyre 130 supposed to push water on one half only?

Just from my recent experience, when I got my gyre recently, I had to disassemble it and put it back together to make sure the gaskets were seated correctly. I kept getting the red blinking light but after I put it all back together correctly it fixed itself. Both sides should be spinning.

Both sides spin on mine. It seems one pushes water while the other sucks water. Just wanted to make sure that's right.

Yes that is correct. That is how mine came It should have come with another set of impellers and baskets. They are laybelled A & B. You can make different flow patterns by swapping
