So I currently use two WAV pumps, one on either end of my tank, and they hover combined usually between 80-85% capacity (i.e. one at 40% and one at 45%, etc...). I have a standard 120, with two large rock formations. My build thread (which really needs an update) is in my signature for reference. I have a sand bed, and it is a mixed tank, with an emphasis on SPS. For a few reasons, I am considering moving to gyres.
I am trying to figure out which units to get. I am not sure how much I can crank them before they blow sand everywhere. I don't mind moving it around every week but I don't want a snow globe situation. I am guessing I would want two, because I would want to move the intersection point back and forth during the day.
Any thoughts/insight people with experience have with these units in these conditions would be really helpful!
