I’m close to finalizing my system and wanted to make a change. I am considering mounting my two Maxspect Gyre 350 vertically in the back corners of my system. It’s a Red Sea Reefer 450 90 gallon. I also have two MP40 that will be positioned in the middle section on both sides of the overflow. I’m considering this because I can achieve a cleaner look. This tank will be mostly sps. Please advise with your thoughts.

With all the pumps in the back. I would think that you would hit the front glass and then push water to the back glass. Leaving piles of detritus in the hard to reach areas. Seems like you would push in all directions but settling would be in the back corners. Flow is a lifetime challenge. What works today will not work when stuff grows.

Your setup and aquascape looks amazing. But one thing I noticed is all the flat rocks on the bottom. I think you will have detritus build up between cracks and underneath those that you will not be able to clean out with all those Wave makers. If staying bare bottom you would want that lifted up in a way so water can get underneath to blow the detritus out..... but it does look awesome.
