Just curious what settings people are using and what % on their Gyre XF-250s.

I made a custom program. I run my 230 on a B-B setup at 40% for a reefer 170. That is as high as I can without creating a sandstorm.

I have a pair of XF250's on my tank and still working on a proper setting. These things move a metric ton of water, really they do, but the controller is a bit frustrating to work with. Why they didn't include a import / export feature with the SD card is a huge over site in my opinion (not that they asked me mine). That and of course why an additional module such as the icecap being required for controller automation. Another over site (again, they didn't ask me :) ). In any case still trying to dial it in. Having said that check out @pelphrey post and video. He does a great job going over the controller and posted his settings.

I personally thing I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the icecap module and move control to the Apex. I think I'll have more control and a better interface to control the flow. With my Jebao's it was pretty simple to create if then else statements that would alternate between reef crest, tidal swell, and nutrient export modes using my reef angel controller and no additional module was required (outside cables). Something has simple has trying to create a long pulse for 30 seconds at 10% alternating between A and B is proving difficult...

Anyway check out the thread and video - he did a good job and might as well start and talk there to see what others are doing. Have a goo day!
