Gyre xf230 on 525xl

I am trying to finalize the equipment list for my new reefer 525 xl and was wondering if anyone out there has used a set of gyre xf230s on this tank. Specs say that the recommended glass thickness is 1/2” which is obviously less than my new aquarium. I currently own a pair of xf230s and would prefer to use them if possible but will upgrade to a pair of xf250s if I need to. Thank you for any insight.

I plan on moving the LPS from my biocube over and eventually some SPS if that helps.
