Gyres falling off …. ?

I am thinking of adding a gyre to a tank that has 3/4” (19 mm) glass. I have read several reviews that mention the magnets on gyre pumps are not strong enough to hold the pump in place on thicker glass. Have you had any luck with a gyre that will adhere to 3/4” glass or thicker?

my glass is only 1/2" however, the ICECAP gyre's magnets are very strong... (my old Maxspects are not close)... so they may fit the bill for you.
