It's looking much better. Keep up the good work. Make sure to go 5-7 days even if it looks good.

I typically give it another week in QT simply to observe. No need to do water changes unless it gets cloudy or it continues to expel zoox. This additional week also gives the anemone time to recover from any stress related to the antibiotic.

Awesome! Another positive cipro

I treated my rBTA recently and even though she is slightly bleached (didn’t happen durning treatment) she is much better. I fed her the last 2(Maybe 3) of treatment. An hour or two before I did my water change) I was so happy to see her accepting food. She eats much much slower then my bw anemone but she eats. I put her back in my tank the end of the last day of treatment which I did 8 days. She stopped inflate/deflate cycle after 5 days of treatment. She attached her self to a piece of rock I placed in ht. So I just moved her and her rock to minimize stress. I also placed her rock in dt at the bottom. I figure if and when she wants to move up she can

Nice!
Looking good.

No noticeable inflation / deflation the past few days.
That’s great!
since I returned mine to dt have not noticed and inflate/deflate cycles (she went back in on Monday) she does do the bta thing and ball up a bit. But usually because my cleaner shrimp walks on her!

it’s amazing what cipro has done for mine and yours.

there were people here and on Facebook who were like she is dead throw it out before it nukes your tank. Well 1) I don’t give up that easy 2) she was a birthday present.
That and I get overly attached to all my pets. I feed them the best food and want to do everything I can for them.

Same haha
I spend more on my fish than anything else. Between 3 packs of Fertility Frenzy, DIY soft pellet, selcon, and phytoplankton every month it gets pretty expensive. No regrets though, they’re fat and seem happy.

I have a mandarin who I make sure has more pods than she needs. Which in my small tank has cost me a bit more than I care to think about. I’m sure in the near future I will have to start cultivating my own. Currently she is small. I see pods on my back wall the one side of the tank I don’t clean ( and the other 2 sides that I clean but they like the dirty wall better) I currently only feed LRS reef frenzy which allows me to feed my nems as well.
I swear pets eat better then me.

Culturing pods is much much cheaper than buying bottles of them, and will also yield far higher numbers.
It’s as easy as setting up a few 5 gallon buckets (no heaters or airstones required) and adding NSW and Phytoplankton regularly.
I currently culture Tigriopus californicus and Apocyclops panamensis and it costs me less than ~$30 / month.
I buy 32oz bottles of RGcomplete from @ReefNutrition which last me a long time. Feeding phyto will result in far more nutritious pods than other cheaper feed options.
A. panamensis would be the perfect size pod for a tiny mandarin. If you have the space i’d give it a shot!

Culturing pods is always a great option. We appreciate any hobbyist that is willing to take it on!
