It would help if you gave a little more information. If you just bought it - Mine literally laid on a rock for 3 days. (he was about 5 inches long) . If yours is a big fat fish, I would try to prod it gently - with perhaps a plastic rod, etc - Part of it also depends on 'where' he is playing dead. For me it was easy - he was on the top of the rock. I would not want yours to somehow be wedged further in.How long do you give a H.Tusk to play dead?
I’ve had mine for about two weeks. I wouldn’t call him fat. More like fit lol. But my sailfin chased him like crazy the first 48hrs. The bullying heavily subsided over the next week. I would see the tang give a quick chase but nothing serious like in the beginning. I saw last night the H.Tusk get chased and he just laid on the sand bed on his belly. I took the sailfin out. I then noticed the H.Tusk wedged between the glass and my intake last night. This morning it was on its back in the back of the tank on the sand bed. I know they play possum, but I’m not sure what I’m going to come home to.PS- I would make sure you have a cover on your tank. They jump like crazy.
