H2O2 instead of Ozone

I was wondering if dosing hydrogen peroxide would help give me the same water clarity as ozone. My assumption is that it will because of the loose oxygen atom, but I've never heard of it being used for that purpose before.
Also, what would be the downside to dosing peroxide? Could it damage corals?
