HA problem killing my tank outlook

I had an issue with my reactor last week. DRsly helped me out with a part replacement, so far it's in a much better working order. I highly doubt you will be disappointed with a new reactor. Keep us updated.

What's with the "I guess"? I don't think you'll be disappointed and they're not that much money. As far as reefing equipment to have on hand...it's not a bad thing to keep around...even if you don't use it all the time. Let's say you super hate having the GFO and you stop using it. If something happens in your tank (as it inevitably will) think about how much carbon you can load up into that sucker on the spur of the moment.

Just keep an eye on your corals. If you notice any negative effects just lower the amount of GFO. I'm running one cup now and all of the cyano I had in the tank is gone but a few patches of HA are hanging on.

Tank update: cyano is almost totally gone. I hope the hair algae goes with it. If I scrub the rocks it just comes back. If anyone has some two little fishies npx bio pellets they don't want I will buy them from you.

I thought about getting one when I was having problems.... but I thought... "when I see them in stores, they are in small tanks that are overrun with hair algae".... hmmmm... guess they aren't doing to sell at eating the hair algae.

Scrubbing it with a wire brush, and getting the leutennant tang did it for me. I have no hair algae now. When I say brush, I'm not saying I spent hours on it either. I actually washed them off in tap water, spent about 1hr on 100lbs of rock, let it dry overnight, and put it in the tank.

oh...and if you want crabs or snails, Eddie's doing a group buy at CCritters, and they have nice prices on them.

I've got a pellet reactor on my setup. All together, I have probably spend (and used), about $75 in pellets alone.... and won't be buying any more. I don't really see that it made any difference at all. Further, I had the setup on there when I had hair algae problems too, (before, during and after) so I'm not sure I would look for it to fix your problem.
