What's the consensus on S. Haddoni and crushed coral? Completely skipped over that consideration when building new reefer 450. It's got about a 2" layer of Florida crushed coral.

I didn't use crushed coral in my system for a couple reasons, but I think it might be a little too abrasive for the animals column. I kept both Haddon's and PLTA's at different times, as a center piece, for a number of years, and would suggest that they need at least a 4" sand bed(I had 6" - 7" of sugar sized oolite).

I stopped using crushed coral about 10+ years ago. However, when I did use you I didn't have any issues with my S. haddonis in it.

This has to be from about 17 years ago -- give or take;

The same anemone back in 2009 kept in Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand, which I have kept all of my S. haddonis in since I switched out from CC.
