Haddoni clownfish hosting.

anything out of the Clarkii complex is a good fit and limits your chances for a nem snack.

Akindynos, Chysogaster, Chrysopterus, Polymnus, Sebae are the other naturals in addition to Clarkii.

As you're probably aware Haddoni are notorious fish eaters. There has definitely been a ton of expensive fish lost to those guys. Hopefully you can find something that won't get snacked on and will aggressively protect the nem and keep other things out.

Yea man that is what I'm going for. Last I visited my LFS they had about 10 Clarkii in a tank. They had been there for a while too so I'm hoping I can get a good pair out of it. We will see. Just want to get it right this time, and the natural host seems a good fit...

Man my black and white occi was terrible for that. I actually didn't want to stick my hand in the tank because j knew what was coming. He drew blood at least once... I may even have a scar from it lol. All part of it I'm afraid.

My LFS have a really nice Maroon Lightning clown, about 2 inches. Very good shape no deform face, fins. Almost as good as wild type Maroon. I am not about to put a Maroon clown, white stripe at that, into my reef because I know how problematic they can be down the road.
If I was going to keep a BTA tank, I would not hesitant to get this guy. I will try to take a cell phone picture of him the next time I am in this store.
I guess this id off topic. Sorry

LOL! Right! Mine was a blood orange maroon clown. He was about 5 inches when I traded him back to the LFS. Yea he drew blood too....anytime I put my hand in the tank he made it his mission to go after me! Then any new additions he would harrass......he would fly out of his nem and chase them full speed around the tank! After that I tried a black and white clown pair....they were just as mean....so no more clowns in the tank! LOL! Ahhhhhh..... peaceful! [emoji16]
