One animal in this hobby I have very little hands on experience with are nems. From reading a bit online, I can't find the reason why these (Haddoni) nems are said to be kept in a 100+ gallon tank other than the size they may reach over time.

What if the 10 gallon was 2+ years old, already growing corals, with dosers and very stable. Then this tanj rockwork was set up around this nem, corals removed, and was the only animal in it other than a clown?

I have the opportunity to get my hands on a "rainbow" or "rainbow red" Haddoni, however at a heavy price tag I'm not interested in seeing this animal struggle if the home isn't suitable.

Thry get as big as 10 gallon tanks. There’s no room for one in that size of a tank

can you? absolutely!!! why is it not recommended in smaller systems you ask........ because they tend to wonder, from time to time, one day they like to bury in the sand, the next they might want to be at the top of the rocks and in a small system they will kill everything they come in contact with and with their extreme stickiness the chances of unwanted contact with fish results in a quick snack for the nem. i kept one in a standard 29g setup for a good many years, i'd honestly say that's about the bare minimum.

I keep a handful in a 40 and I wouldn't recommend anything smaller. The main concern in a tank is parameter consistency. Nems like the Hadonni are not as forgiving as say a bubble tip.
The nem,
will it be quarantined or treated before you purchase? If not then be sure to have antibiotics on hand.

That's great info, and what I was searching for. I didn't know they would move around that much. It would only be the nem in this tank and a clown if it happened.

Nice nems! Parameters as far as the big 3 or temp and salinity?

All of the above. Temp 78, salinity 1.025, nitrates less than 5, phosphates less than .08 calcium 420 mag 1450 and alk 8.5. And as stable in those places as possible.
