It appears I have algae growing in my overflow. My CUC seems to be doing a great job in the DT. is it OK to place a turbo snails in there? I do have a tall tank just FYI.

It would be ok , they would probably pass in time due to nothing to eat. I can tell you what I did though. I bought some large tupperware from dollar tree, and cut the lids to fit right over the overflow to greatly reduce the amount of light getting to the overflow, which stops the algae. This is obviously a super cheap solution but it works.

Great idea

careful towel does not get wet and start dripping
also hair in overflow acts as a algae scrubber... ;)
just remove chunks at a time
