I seem to have an hair algae problem in my anemone/refugium tank. The algae is growing on the rocks and sand. My DT however is clean. The only difference between the DT and refugium is that the DT has turbos and conches and tangs. My astreas are not eating the algae.
The algae however seems to get fall apart easily (which makes them spread even faster) so I'm assuming they are weak. I want to try a 3 to 4 day blackout. Can my anemones handle a 4 day blackout? How should I feed the clowns during this time?

Thanks and Happy Reefing

I would just try to manually remove as much as you can before you try a black out. What’s your NO3 & PO4 levels?
