So I am running the little ATO container as a refugium in the Red Sea tank with caulerpas.

always seen hair algae growing so fast once I pulled them out, it would be back at it after a few days. (No hair algae in display so far)

is the hair algae actually a good thing? Should I clean them up periodically? I clean them up once per week because it was cover the caulerpas up and they died.

current nitrate is at about 10 and phosphate at about .10.

tank is running for about 2 years.

There is nothing wrong with it growing in there. If you don't like it pull it out. Add a couple trochus snails to your fuge.

Other than being unsightly it can over take caulerpas an smother it out over time . Personally I’d try to remove it because it’s not ascetically appealing visually as the caulerpas is and may eventually make it difficult to crop .
