Hair algae on frag plugs

so my tank is mostly free of algae, I have a couple spots here and there, except 2 zoa frags where there is so much algae on the plug, I’m worried it will smother the zoas. Is there a wayI can treat this without removing the plugs? It’s hard to remove where they are.

Chiton snail that came with my tank devoured a section of live rock that had it

I think part of my problem is both plugs are hanging out off the rock making them inaccessible to crabs and snails...but like my foxface doesn’t pick at it, my lawnmower blenny doesn’t eat it.... can I put like an upside down cup over them for a couple days to do a mini- black out?

Ime black out doesnt help with unless can pin down its a species that will fail before the coral.

Personally i would probably do 2 things. Remove the stems and while out of the water treat the algae that is on the plug itself treat with an eye dropper of peroxide. This way can avoid hitting the coral itself.

Removing the stem will let it sit more flush to the rock.

Yea the stems are off the plugs, but all the plugs down there are on little 2” pieces of rock all stacked together, and when I start unstacking them that little embankment falls apart. I means it’s so-able, just wondering if I can’t avoid all that

Same situation here
I bought a bottle brush kit on amazon had 12 brushes ... there are some tiny soft ones probably 1/3 inch wide I scrub Zoa gently they close up !!!! when all algae gone they reopen in few hours

I added a clean up crew on Friday to battle GHA and other clean up. Today, a big section of my rock is GHA free. They did it faster than I expected! Here’s the same rock section over the last week and a half.

1 to 8 peroxide to tank water for about 5 minutes clears my frags up completely.
